Goossen Tutor, Team Marquez Productions and Pat Holmes Boxing officially announced an ESPN2-televised fight card for Jan. 11 at the Indian School in Santa Fe, N.M., today in Albuquerque. The card will feature lightweight John Molina (24-2, 19 KOs) vs. Andrey Klimov (14-0, 8 KOs) in the main; and an eight-round middleweight bout between Brandon Gonzales (16-0, 10 KOs) and Don Mouton (12-4-1, 10 KOs) in the co-main. In local bouts, Espanola’s Tony Valdez (7-3-3, 7 KOs), fresh off his win over Raymond “Hollewood” Montes last weekend, will fight a four-rounder against Denver’s Tim Ibarra (2-2, 0 KOs); Albuquerque jr. middleweight Mark Cordova will make his debut against Santa Fe’s Angelo Sanchez (0-1-1) in a four-rounder; Santa Fe lightweight Brandon Holmes will also debut, against the more experienced David Castillo (3-5) of Socorro; Amateur standout recently turned pro, Siju Shabazz (1-0, 1 KO) will look for win No. 2 against TBA; and, at t lightweight, Archie Ray Marquez (14-2, 9 Kos) gets an easy one again, this time taking on Rynell Griffin (6-11-2, 2 KOs), who’s dropped nine of his last ten bouts, with one draw.
