Molina ready for Lundy

Lightweight John Molina, Jr. (20-1, 16 KOs) will look to make “Hammerin” Hank Lundy (18-0-1, 10 KOs) pay the price when they meet on the July 9 edition of ESPN2 Friday Night Fights. “I’m excited to get back on television and I will make sure I stay there. You learn a lot more in defeat then in victory regardless of the circumstances and it is the worse feeling in the world. I will do everything needed to do in the ring so I never feel like that again. Lundy talks a lot and as far as I’m concerned he can keep it up. As a matter of fact, I like it. It’s been very amusing. I’m going to do my talking in the ring and he’ll know what I mean when I walk away with the belt. I have respect for him and what he has accomplished but come fight time nothing will stop me. I am going to do what I have to do to be victorious.” The event is promoted by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment and Sports, Inc. (CES) takes place at the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln, R.I.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
