Between threats and challenges completed the final conference to promote Saturday’s clash between the former three-time world champion Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel and former world title challenger Giovanni “Ruso” Caro. They face off at the Joshua Neri Santos Municipal Gym in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on a card promoted by Promociones del Pueblo and Kochul Montiel Promotions.
Fernando Montiel: “I respect my opponent. I know that this is a great fighter, strong and eager to win, but the only thing I can say is that. I will use my experience bring a great fight.”
Giovanni Caro: “I don’t want to say any more. Fernando Montiel has been a great champion and I come with everything to gain and will demonstrate conclusively that I am worthy of returning to being a world title contender … first things first, and I will have to earn that opportunity and impose my will on a great boxing figure.”
In another fight, Alejandro Sanabria and Nery “Pantera” Saguilan meet over ten rounds at super featherweight.
