Word is former world champion Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel (45-3-2, 35 KOs) has been training for a possible fight with Nicaraguan prospect Orlando Rizo (13-2, 9 KOs) on August 20 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. The source said that after Montiels’s victory over former WBA world champion Nehomar Cermeño, Montiel will seek the possibility to remain campaigning in super bantamweight in the search of a world title in a fourth weight division. Montiel is doing his workouts in the Montiel Family Gym, which recently opened in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, and would travel to Ensenada a week before the fight.
