Former world champion Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel returns on Saturday at the Manuel Bernardo Gym in Chihuahua against Olimpian Arthur “El Rey” Santos and hopes to achieve a great victory leading to another world title. “I’m happy because I had an excellent preparation to fight. The training I did gives me incredible confidence that I’ll give a good show as always. I will not underestimate Santos. I had a very special preparation for this match, because I don’t want any surprises. I’ll demonstrate that I can still be world champion,” said Montiel.
The event is presented by Promociones del Pueblo and Kochul Montiel Promotions and is loaded with big names including former middleweight title challenger Marco Antonio ¨Veneno¨ Rubio vs. Jorge Cota, former interim minumumweight champion Sammy Gutierrez vs. Armando Torres, super welterweight KO artist Marco “Dorado” Reyes vs. Octavio Castro and super flyweight Oscar “Ceviche” Ibarra vs. Carlos Rodriguez.
