IBF #15 jr welterweight Cleotis ‘Mookie’ Pendarvis (16-3-1, 5 KOs) will defend his WBF/USA 140lb belt against Milton Ramos (8-3-1) in a bout scheduled for eight rounds as the co-main event on Thursday, October 4th in Houston, Texas. Pendarvis is coming off the biggest fight of his career thus far, capturing both the IBF/USBA and WBC/USNBC belts in one night against a very game Robert Frankel in May. “We are looking forward to October 4th. We realize we’re fighting in Ramos’ backyard, we don’t see that as a hindrance. In fact, we welcome the challenge. Mookie is in top form and shape, if he could fight tomorrow he would. He’s ready to go,” says manager Warren Wilkerson. The card is presented by Lou Savarese Promotions.
