Morales lean & mean at 147

Former world champion Erik “El Terrible” Morales has finished two months of training at the Otomi Ceremonial Center and surfaced Friday at a press conference in Mexico City before heading to Monterrey on Sunday for his PPV showdown with Jose Alfaro on March 27. “I have a lot of pressure to be at my best in this fight,” said Morales, who vowed to retire if he loses. “I have a lot of experience and I know what to do in the ring. I want to fight and that’s why I lost weight for a good show….I’d love to win by knockout, but later in my career I’ll be in at a different weight than where I won the bantamweight, featherweight and super featherweight world titles and, of course, I’d like to get a fourth crown world.” Morales is now campaigning as a welterweight.
