Argentinian contender Lucas Matthysse will not be able to face three division world champion Erik “Terrible” Morales for the vacant WBC super lightweight title on September 17 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on the Mayweather-Ortiz undercard. Matthysse (28-2, 26 KOs) was in La Pampa completing his training, but a viral infection at the start of the week forced him to stop training according sources in Argentina.
