According to Hennessy Sports, Carl Froch, who had been trying to work through a persistent back injury, was unable to train on Friday due to severe pain and after resting over the weekend the injury had not improved. After visiting his physio and doctor this afternoon in an attempt to see if anything else could be done to help get him through this, Carl was firmly advised to take at least four weeks solid rest before resuming training again leaving him in no position to fight on the 2nd October. This left no other option than to request a postponement. Hennessy Sports and Carl Froch have issued apologized to everyone that this unfortunate and unavoidable situation has affected. Showtime Sports, Hennessy Sports and Sauerland Event will be issuing a statement in the coming days regarding the rescheduled date for Froch’s Super Six clash with Arthur Abraham and the situation regarding tickets.
