More on Abraham tune-up

Looks like former IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham will take on Stjepan Bozic (24-4, 15 KOs) in a tune-up fight on February 12 in in Mühlheim an der Ruhr, Germany, according to BILD. Bozic is just 14 months removed from a world title fight against Dimitri Sartison for the vacant WBA super middleweight belt in November 2009. This bout will help Abraham get ready for his SUPER SIX semi-final showdown with Andre Ward, who currently shares a portion of the WBA belt with Sartison. Ward-Abraham could land on May 14. “I want to get rid of any rust,” King Arthur told BILD. “This is why I’m taking the fight against the Croatian. Otherwise the pause would be too long to me leading into this important fight against Andre Ward.”

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
