WBO #3 David “Tuaman” Tua (50-3-1, 43 KOs) moved closer to a world title shot when he scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over Nigerian Friday “The 13th” Ahunanya (24-5-3, 13 KOs) on Wednesday to retain the WBO Asia Pacific title at the Trusts Stadium in Auckland. Scores: Brad Vocale 120-108, Mick Heafey 119-109, Bob Gibson 117-111.
