Over a 100 pro and amateur boxers – including fan favorite Elvir “Kosovo Kid” Muriqui and former world champion Lou Del Valle – were displaced from the community fixture in the Bronx, NY when a fire gutted the community fixture on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. The gym was rebuilt with generous donations by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and boxing glove maker Everlast.
