WBA lightweight champion Paulus Moses (25-0, 17 KOs) retained his world title by unanimous decision over Takehiro Shimada (23-5-1, 16 KOs) on Saturday night at the Windhoek Country Club Resort in Windhoek, Namibia. Scores were 119-109, 119-108 and 118-110 for Moses, who successfully defended his belt for the first time. Raising the hand of the Don King Productions champion is the former president of Namibia for 16 years, Dr. Sam Nujoma.
