Mosley makes no immediate decision on his future after upset loss to Mundine

42-year-old future Hall of Famer Sugar Shane Mosley, who was stopped for the first time in his career in his fight against Anthony Mundine, won’t make a decision on his boxing future until returning to America.

“I’ll go home, check out the tape, and take a look at what’s going on. I’ll make my decision when I get home,” said Shane, who was paid $1 million for coming to Australia to face Mundine. He also pocketed a non-refundable deposit of $300,000 last month when the bout against Mundine fell through at the last moment.

Mosley previously retired from the ring in June 2012 after losing to Canelo Alvarez, but came back in May of this year to defeat Pablo Cesar Cano before agreeing to take on Mundine.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
