On Tuesday in Panama City was the final press conference for the event called “Desafio Final” (Final Challenge) between Panamanian mandatory challenger Ricardo “El Mamatico” Nunez and South African IBF flyweight world champion Moruti “Baby Face” Mthalane to take place Saturday at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama City in an event organized by Promociones y Eventos del Ismo and broadcast on TV Max.
Moruti Mthalane: This will be a good fight and I respect the challenger but this night I’ll go out with the victory. It’s good to defend this crown in America, I feel great and I want get into the ring fast.”
Ricardo Nunez: I hope to be the the 30th world champion from Panama. I trained very hard and I am sure I’ll win that crown.
On Monday Nunez and Mthalane passed their medical examinations and Nunez weighed 114.5 pounds and Mthalane 118 pounds.
