Unbeaten Australian super middleweight Rohan Murdock (11-0, 9 KOs) scored the best win of his career when he stopped Les Piper (14-12-3, 3 KOs) in round ten at Southport Sharks club, Southport, Queensland, Australia on Friday. Murdock, 21 years of age, controlled all the rounds and at 0.51 of round ten, referee Paul Tapley crowned Murdock.
In other action, cruiserweight Adam Lovelock (7-5) outscored Peter Brennan (10-23-4) over ten rounds. Lovelock dropped Brennan in round five. Scores 100-90, 100-89, 100-89. Lovelock captured the WBC Asia Council Continental title.
Also cruiserweight Adam Hollioake ( 2-1,1KO) scored a split six round decision over debutant Warren Tresidder (0-1) by scores 58-56, 58-56, 57-58.
Welterweight Tommy Szeremi (2-0-2, 1KO) stopped Kurt Finlayson (2-5-2) in round one. Referee Cyril Cairns called it off at 1.49.
Super featherweight Haruki Noma (1-1, 1 KO) stopped Jarrett Owen (3-2-2, 1 KO) in round three. Referee Cyril Cairns saved Owen at 2.37.
Heavyweight Iggy McGowan (3-1, 1 KO) stopped debutant Nathan Brown (0-1) at 0.43 of round one.
