New York-based IBF #15 Elvir Kosova Kid Muriqi (36-5, 17 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Oleksandr Garashchenko (15-12, 7 KOs) on Sunday night at the Palace of Youth & Sports in Prishtina, Kosovo. Muriqi outworked his opponent in almost every single round. It was a sweet revenge for Muriqi in front of his 2,000 fanatic supporters. He had lost a fight against the same Ukrainian boxer in 2005. That time the bout ended with a split decision for Garashchenko.
In the co-main event of the evening, Shpetim “Albanian Bomber” Shala (6-0, 2 KOs) won a 10 round unanimous decision against Lars Buchholz (10-3, 5 KOs) to pick up the Austrian International light heavyweight title belt. Scores were 97-94, 98-94, 97-93.
Swiss-based Albanian cruiserweight Sefer Seferi (7-0, 6 KOs ) continued his winning streak with a TKO in the fifth round over Ivica Cukusic (7-63-4) of Croatia. After the end of fourth round Cukusic decided to withdrew. With this Seferi collected his 6th KO victory.
Croatian welterweight Zoran Cvek (4-7-2, 3 KOs) scored a third round TKO over Erjon Zeka (6-2, 1 KO) from Albania.
