British lightweight champion John Murray (26-0, 14 KOs) was unable to make weight for his title defense against Scott Lawton (26-4-1, 5 KOs) and was stripped of the belt by the BBBC. Murray against Lawton will still take place on Saturday at the Robin Park Centre in Wigan, Lancashire, United Kingdom, and only Lawton can claim the vacant belt if victorious.
