NABA Titles on the line this Saturday in Pittsburgh

6’6″ 280 pound John L. Smith (13-0-1 3 KOs) will face hard-punching southpaw Jason Bergman (20-10-2, 13 KOs) over ten rounds for the vacant NABA-US heavyweight title on Saturday, October 12th at the Green Tree Complex in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Trained by former heavyweight champ James “Buster” Douglas, Smith is coming off a ten-round draw versus 6′ 7″ 250 pound Daniel Martz (9-1-1), whereas Bergman, after winning ten straight, is coming from a split decision loss to recent USBA title challenger Maurice Harris. In addition, WBA #15 lightweight contender “Lightning” Rod Salka (17-2, 3 KOs) will battle Ryan Belasco (18-5-3, 3 KOs) over ten rounds for Salka’s NABA-US lightweight strap.
