48-year-old former welterweight fringe contender Paul Nave (16-8-2, 7 KOs) returned to the ring on Friday night with a four round unanimous decision over Mikhail Lyubarsky (3-10) in a middleweight bout at the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium in San Rafael, California. Nave dropped Lyubarsky imn round four and won 40-35 on all cards. Nave is best known for a trilogy of bouts with former world champion Greg Haugen (he went 1-1-1). His previous fight was in December 1999. Nave is planning to return to the ring in a few months.
