Nevada Boxing Update

Nevada Commissioner, Pat Lundvall, was elected unanimously as the first woman to the post of Chairwoman of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The chairperson is elected each year by the commissioners to serve a one year term starting January 1. She will succeed Bill Brady, the current commissioner. Lundvall is an attorney with the law firm McDonald Carano Wilson with offices in Las Vegas and Reno.
Also, this week Governor Jim Gibbons appointed Francisco Aguilar to the Nevada state Athletic Commission. He will replace John Bailey. Aguilar’s appointment will be effective November 1. Aguilar works as corporate counsel for the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education and Agassi Graf Holdings.
For the Manny Pacquiao vs Miguel Cotto WBO welterweight title fight on November 14th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has selected Kenny Bayless as the referee and the judges selected are: Adelaide Byrd, Duane Ford and Dave Moretti, all from Las Vegas.
WBA Super Welterweight title: Daniel Santos vs Yuri Foreman, Referee will be Jay Nady; Judges will be: Robert Hoyle, Jerry Roth and Clark Sammartino.
