New Deal for Diaconu!

By Dave Spencer / Fightnews Canada

InterBox has announced the signing of WBC light heavyweight world champion Adrian ‘The Shark’ Diaconu Thursday to a new two year contract. “Adrian is an important member of InterBox and I’m happy with this new agreement. He worked very hard to become a World champion and we want him to defend his title several times in Montreal,” said the president of InterBox, Eric Lucas. The champ is also very happy to be back into the InterBox’s family. “It’s a good week for me! I finally fight in Montreal and I sign a new contract! This new agreement will allow me to be more active and defend my belt in front of the fans who always supported me in achieving my dream. I look forward to April 4th and my next fight in Montreal. I want to give good performances to people here,” said Diaconu. Saturday evening, Adrian Diaconu (25-0-0 15 KO) will face David Whittom (10-7-1 6 KO) in a 8 rounds bout.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
