New foe for Dzinziruk

WBO jr. middleweight champion Sergiy Dzinziruk (35-0, 23 KOs) has a new opponent for his sixth world title defense – Daniel Dawson (34-1, 24 KOs) will replace originally scheduled Sherzod Husanov of Russia. The fight will headline the ShoBox card on May 14 at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, California. Due to a delay at the local consulate in Ekaterinburg, Russia, Husanov will not receive his passport in time for the fight. In the co-featured bout scheduled for eight rounds, 21-year-old undefeated junior lightweight prospect Archie Ray Marquez (9-0, 6 KOs) will face Juan Santiago (12-3-1, 7 KOs).
