Geir Inge Jorgensen from Norway pulled out of his IBO Intercontinental welterwieght Championship bout against Rico Muller scheduled for this Saturday in Eberswalde, Germany, making the second time Jorgensen cancelled a fight against Muller on short notice. Luckily, Muller’s management was prepared this time and had another opponent to replace Jorgensen. Muller (14-1-1, 10 KOs) will now take on Ramadhani Shauri (16-2, 9 KOs) from Tanzania. Shauri will arrive in Germany today for the official weigh-in. The show on Saturday will be outdoors at Familiengarten Eberwalde and starts at 17.00h / 5pm local time. There will be nine fights in total including three title bouts. Jennifer Retzke from Berlin is trying to win her second world championship when she is taking on Florence Muthoni from Kenya for the IBO world welterweight championship. Robert Maess and Issa El Sleiman will fight for the German (GBA) welterweight title. And of course, Muller is set to defend his IBO i/c crown against Shauri.
