New Opponent For Wilder

Unbeaten heavyweight Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (23-0, 23 KOs) will now face Kertson “Warrior” Manswell (22-5, 17 KOs) of Trinidad and Tobago in the ten round main event on Fox Sports Net August 4th from the Mobile Civic Center Expo Hall in Mobile, Alabama. The 6’4″, 260 pound Manswell is a replacement for undefeated Kelvin Price (13-0, 6 KOs) who pulled out of the fight with Wilder a few days ago, citing a rib injury sustained in sparring. Earlier this year, Manswell went the distance with former world heavyweight titleist Ruslan Chagaev in a losing effort.

    Help Support Fightnews.com®

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
