Nielsen to face Pinzon on November 16

WBA/WBO Intercontinental middleweight beltholder Patrick Nielsen (20-0, 9 KOs) will defend his titles against Jose Pinzon (24-5, 15 KOs) from Mexico on November 16. For the first time in his career, Nielsen will fight in Albertslund, Denmark. “To fight in Albertslund will be the biggest moment of my career and I will not allow Pinzon to spoil it,” he stated. “I have a lot of respect for him. Mexicans have a great boxing education and tradition. They are aggressive and tough, but so am I. There is no way he can beat me in front of my home fans. I’m in great shape already, I’ve trained hard with Joey Gamache, and I’m ready for a big night of boxing in my old hood!”

    Help Support Fightnews.com®

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
