Nieves hits Japan for clash with Yamanaka

World ranked contender Jose “Miau” Nieves of Carolina, Puerto Rico, and his team have arrived safely in Tokyo for his highly anticipated world title bid next Monday, August 12 when, he challenges undefeated WBC bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka at the Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Since signing with All Star Boxing, Inc in 2011, Nieves ranked #2 WBO, #7 WBC has been undefeated winning five fights in the popular series of Boxeo Telemundo earning him a shot at the title.

All Star Boxing President Felix “Tuto” Zabala, Jr., just arrived from a 14 day Asia Tour traveling 24,466 miles with stops in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Macau, Manila, Cebu and Singapore where he met with Promoters, TV Networks and WBO Officials in order to assist and be part of the growing of the sport in the far east.

Nieves arrived with his team, trainer Jose Bonilla, cutman Luis Brenas, Ruben De Jesus and Felix “Tutiking” Zabala III of All Star Boxing, Inc.

The fight is being presented by Teiken Promotions in association with All Star Boxing, Inc.
