WBO Latino bantamweight champion Jose “Miau” Nieves (22-2-3 recovered from any early knockdown to stop Danny “Venado” Flores (14-3, 8 KOs) in round nine of a scheduled twelve rounder on Friday night at the Palm Bay Community Center in Palm Bay, Florida. Flores dropped Nieves in round three but Nueves came back to floor Flores in round nine and the fight was stopped shortly after.
Unbeaten cruiserweight Yunier Dorticos (14-0, 14 KOs) scored a third round TKO over Willy Hering (14-13-3, 5 KOs).
