Looks like possibly the last boxing match of WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will not take place in his hometown of Kiev. Klitschko wanted to fight either September 1 or September 8 at Kiev’s Olympic Stadium, but apparently the venue isn’t being made available to K2 to stage the event there. It has been alleged in the Ukrainian media that this is politically motivated since the politically active Vitali is in opposition to some of the current officials in power. Manuel Charr is the frontrunner to be Vitali’s opponent wherever the fight ends up.
