NSAC to make changes in judge selection procedure starting with Bradley-Marquez fight

Nevada State Athletic Commission Chairman Bill Brady says there will be more NSAC scrutiny of officials assigned to high profile fights, starting with the officials working the October 12 clash between Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas. “There will be more questions asked, and Keith [Kizer] will be held accountable for his recommendations,” he told the Las Vegas Review Journal. “We won’t be a rubber stamp anymore.”

Brady also told the paper he has apologized to Nevada Governor Rick Sandoval for any embarrassment to the State caused by controversial the Mayweather-Alvarez scorecard submitted by Commission-appointed judge C.J. Ross, who is now taking an indefinite leave of absence and unlikely to return. Brady said Sandoval expressed his concerns and informed him he “wants things done right.”
