NYC fight card to benefit Sandy victims

On December 19, DiBella Entertainment will present a special holiday edition of its Broadway Boxing series at the Roseland Ballroom headlined by Will “Power” Rosinsky (16-2, 9 KOs) in an eight-round light heavyweight bout. Also featured on the card will be lightweight prospect Ivan Redkach (12-0, 11 KOs) and jr welterweight Gabriel “Tito” Bracero (20-1, 3 KOs). A portion of the proceeds from the show will be donated to victims of Hurricane Sandy. “We are going to close our 2012 Broadway Boxing season with one of our strongest cards of the year,” said Lou DiBella. “In addition to the great card, we will also be raising money for Hurricane Sandy relief and there will be a silent auction including memorabilia from my own personal collection. Please join us not only for our traditional holiday season beatings card, but more importantly to raise money and awareness for those suffering so badly as a result of Hurricane Sandy.” Additional bouts and opponents for the above mentioned fighters will be announced shortly. Tickets are currently on sale.

    Help Support Fightnews.com®

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
