Jr welterweight prospect Danny O’Connor (17-1, 5 KOs) will make history August 12 when he headlines the first professional boxing event at famed Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Gillette Stadium is home to the three-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots and Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution. O’Connor is slated to take on James Ventry (7-15-1, 4 KOs) in the eight-round main event of a three-bout card that will take place following an MLS match between the New England Revolution and Montreal Impact. mmediately after the conclusion of the soccer game, a ring will be set-up in the end zone behind the Revolution’s goal. The Revs average between 12,000-15,000 fans per game.
