WBO president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel announced today the officials who will work this Saturday, June 14, in the defenses of the world champions Ruslan Provodnikov and Demetrius Andrade against Chris Algieri and Brian Rose, respectively, to be held in Brooklyn, New York.
For the first defense of the WBO junior welterweight champion, Ruslan Provodnikov (23-2, 16 KOs), who is going to face the 13th ranked Chris Algieri (19-0, 8 KOs), the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) named Harvey Dock (New Jersey) as the referee. The judges will be Donald Trella (Connecticut), Tom Schreck (New York) and Max DeLuca (California). The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Jose R. Izquierdo.
Also in this show, the WBO junior middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (20-0, 13 KOs) will defend for the first time his belt against the #1 ranked Brian Rose (25-1-1, 7 KOs), from United Kingdom. For this bout the referee will be Michael Griffin, from Canada. The judges for this fight are Julie Lederman (New York), John Poturaj (New Jersey) and Alan Rubenstein (Pennsylvania). The WBO supervisor for this fight will be Rafael Lopez Santos.
