Oliver trains in Puerto Rico

Before his travel to training camp, Mike Oliver, trained in Puerto Rico for his October 1st challenge against former two time world champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez in the show “Triple Crown III” to be held at the coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, in a PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) and Top Rank Inc. presentation which will be shown on “Pay Per View”. Oliver (25-2, 8 KOs) worked floor exercises, movements and some gloves with trainer John Scully showing great speed in his training at the Wilfredo Gomez Arena Gym in Guaynabo. “We are training to be in the best shape to face Juanma Lopez, a hard puncher,” Oliver said. The fight Oliver-Lopez (30-1, 27 KOs) will be for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Latino featherweight title.

Also in the card, another former world champion Román “Rocky” Martínez (24-1-1, 15 KOs) will face Ramón Maas (25-1, 15 KOs) for the junior lightweight WBO Intercontinental title.

In another co-feature, super bantamweight contender Jonathan “Polvo” Oquendo (21-2, 14 KOs) will fight versus #1 contender Sod Looknongyantoy (51-2-1, 21 KOs) for the 122 lb WBO Latino title.
