One Punch inks Torres

One Punch Productions has announced the signing of New Jersey jr. welterweight Michael Torres. Torres, 13-1 with 7 KO’s, has been inactive since suffering his only loss, a one-point decision to Martin Tucker last October. “I thought I had won that fight easy, and afterwards I decided to take some time off to evaluate where my career was going” said Torres. “Now I’m back in the gym, and I’m putting the 140lb division on notice that I’m back.”

One Punch Productions President Terry J. Trekas was equally excited with the acquisition of Torres. “Michael is exactly the type of talent that I look for. He can box, he can punch a bit, and he has a good head on his shoulders. The first step is to get him back in the ring and keep him busy. He will be appearing on our October 29 show in Charlotte, NC, and then again on December 3. After that Cameron Dunkin (Torres’ manager) and I will look at the 140lb landscape and chart the best path we can for Michael” commented Trekas.
