IBF intercontinental junior welterweight champion Sergey “Professor” Fedchenko (22-0, 10 KOs) will defend his belt for the second time against Argentinean Diego Jesus Ponce (16-4-2, 2 KOs). Fedchenko, who is ranked #12 by the WBO and #15 by the IBF, was earlier said to face Spaniard Hector Moreira. This bout will be a headliner of April 22 K2 East promoted show in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Also, in his first comeback fight after a disastrous performance against Cornelius Bundrage in a IBF light middleweight eliminator, Ukrainian-based Russian Zaurbek Baysangurov (19-1, 14 KOs) will clash against Georgian Mikheil Khucishvili (11-6-2. 4 KOs). Welterweight Victor Plotnikov (20-1, 10 KOs) will be tested by another Georgian import Alexander Benidze (10-9-2, 5 KOs). Unbeaten WBC #12 cruiserweight Vitaly Rusal (23-0, 16 KOs), heavyweight Andrey Rudenko (12-0, 5 KOs) and lightweights Artiom Ayvazidi (5-0, 1 KO) and Valentin Golovko (7-0, 5 KOs) will be showcased in separate bouts shaping the undercard up.
