Oquendo headlines in Chicago!

Two-time heavyweight title challenger Fres Oquendo (29-5, 18 KOs) will face Gonzalo Omar Basile (41-4, 19 KOs) in the new ten round main event on June 26th at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago it was announced today by Dominic Pelosi’s 8 Count Productions. Oquendo is coming off a highly controversial split decision loss to James Toney on December 13th. The bout against Basile is for the Basile’s WBO Latino heavyweight title and will be Oquendo’s first hometown bout in nine years. Tickets start at $31. Call 312-226-5800.
