Two time heavyweight world title challenger Fres Oquendo (30-5, 19 KOs) scored a third round TKO over late sub Mark “Oak Tree” Brown (15-2, 7 KOs) in a bout for the WBC Latino title on Friday night at Chicago’s UIC Pavilion. Brown was deducted a point for continual holding in round two by referee Gino Rodriguez. Oquendo rocked Brown at the end of round two and picked up where he left off in the third round. Rodriguez halted the contest at 2:38 of the round with Brown unable to defend himself.
