Orozco-Honorio postponed to May 15

Due to visa issues, Martin Honorio will be unavailable for his scheduled bout against Antonio Orozco this Saturday at StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. Orozco vs. Honorio was scheduled to be covered on Saturday’s Showtime Extreme boxing telecast. As a result, the revised two-fight card will be a junior middleweight ten rounder between Jermall Charlo (17-0, 13 KOs) and Hector Munoz (22-12-1, 14 KOs) and a junior middleweight eight rounder between Terrell Gausha (8-0, 5 KOs) and veteran Charles Whittaker (40-14-2, 24 KOs). Orozco vs. Honorio is now rescheduled for May 15.

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
