“Vicious” Victor Ortiz (27-2-1, 21 KOs) and “Vicious” Vivian Harris (29-4-1, 19 KOs) held a media conference call today to discuss their preparations for their upcoming bout on the September 18 Mosley vs. Mora card in Los Angeles.
Oscar De La Hoya: “This fight has all the makings of a classic match up. It’s going to be a great fight between two warriors. It has the potential to steal the show because of their styles, how much each one wants it and what both have gone through to get here.”
Vivian Harris: “On September 18th I want the world to know that Vivian Harris comes to fight and that only one ‘Vicious’ will stand up and that will be me. I am very determined and nobody is going to stop me, especially no Victor Ortiz. He has a lot of talent but you have to believe in yourself and I don’t think he does.”
Victor Ortiz: “I am very prepared right now. I am listening to my coaches. I am going to win. Vivian Harris just said that he is going to beat me but I disagree. He’s a world champion for a reason and I am ranked #1 for a reason. On September 18th, I’ll be ready and we will have a nice little dance.”
NOTE*** Things got a little heated between Danny Garcia, Ortiz’s trainer, Rolando Arellano, Ortiz’s manager and Harris towards the end of the call.
