Pacman-Albertsons tieup

Manny Pacquiao, boxing’s No. 1 attraction, has forged a commercial partnership with Albertsons, a major grocery chain in the US. According to Pacquiao’s adviser Mike Koncz, a shopper who pays a minimum of $50 worth of items in a participating branch in the Dallas area, will go home with a signed poster of the March 13 Pacquiao-Joshua Clottey fight. “Manny is very pleased with his partnership with Albertsons,” said Koncz. “This goes to show that Manny’s popularity has grown outside of the boxing ring.” Pacquiao is currently in the thick of training at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood under guru Freddie Roach. Pacquiao is expected to arrive in Dallas on March 7 or 8 for the final phase of his preparation.
