Pacman hosting Valentine’s luncheon

Manny Pacquiao will be hosting a Valentine’s Fans Day this Sunday (2/14) beginning at 1PM at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Glendale, California. “Over 1,000 fans are expected to attend one of Manny’s final major public appearances in Los Angeles before he heads to Dallas to defend his World Boxing Organization welterweight title against former world champion and current No. 1 contender Joshua Clottey,” said Ami Almerol of Silver Shadow Promotions, who is organizing the Pacquiao Valentine’s Fan Day. “In addition to Manny addressing his fans, he will be presented with a plaque of commendation from The Honorable Dianne Feinstein, California’s senior U.S. Senator. The event will also feature the sale of official Pacquiao vs. Clottey merchandise and Pacquiao memorabilia.” Admission is $20. Tickets can be purchased at the door, beginning at Noon, on the day of the event.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
