Superstar and Philippines Congressman Manny Pacquiao meets with US Democratic Congresswoman-elect for Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district Tulsi Gabbard after wrapping up training camp today before heading to Las Vegas. Gabbard presented Pacquiao with a US flag that was flown over the Hawaii State Capitol, along with an honorary certificate. Pacquiao in turn gave Gabbard a Flag of the Philippines. As a member of the Hawai‘i National Guard, Tulsi Gabbard served two tours of duty in the Middle East.

Pacquiao appeared in print and radio ads for Gabbard during the weeks leading up to the August primary. “I was impressed with her record of service and her deep ties to the Filipino community,” Pacquiao said.

Pacquiao heads to Las Vegas for the upcoming 4th fight of his historic rivalry against four-time world champion Juan Manuel Marquez.
