Manny Pacquiao told Fightnews and Manila Bulletin on Wednesday that he has turned down Floyd Mayweather’s newest proposal, an offer that the Filipino ring hero found to be ridiculous. Pacquiao said Mayweather continues to insist on getting the lion’s share of the revenue but he immediately expressed his disapproval, putting negotiations in danger of collapsing completely. Mayweather had called on Pacquiao last week and urged him to fight him. Pacquiao said it is just right that they equally share the revenue, something that did not augur well with Mayweather. Reports have it that Mayweather is now willing to make it 60-40. Still, Pacquiao is not impressed and might very well explore other possibilities, including a rematch with Miguel Cotto on June 9. “I still believe that I am being reasonable in asking for 50/50,” said Pacquiao.
