Top Rank publicist Lee Samuels revealed on Friday that Manny Pacquiao is arriving in Dallas on March 8 on board a private jet that Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum will send to Los Angeles in preparation for the March 13 fight with Joshua Clottey of Ghana at Cowboys Stadium. Clottey, who is now training in Fort Lauderdale in Florida, is checking in the day before the Filipino’s grand arrival, according to Samuels. Samuels said Clottey is going to host an open workout in New York on March 4 just before his team takes a flight to Texas. During fight week, Pacquiao and Clottey are set to host separate open workouts at the basement of the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine, Texas. Arum said a makeshift gym will be put up there so the fighters can work out without driving half an hour to the nearest gym. Clottey will have his open workout on March 9, while Pacquiao’s will take place the following day. The official press conference will be staged at the Cowboys Stadium on March 10 and the official weigh-in will also be held there as well at approximately 5 pm on March 12. Samuels added that the respective trainers are also doing roundtable discussions with the media on March 11 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel, the official residence of the entire promotion.
