It looks like Las Vegas will overcome any remote possibility of losing the May 2 Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton megafight to Dubai. According to the LA Times, promoters Richard Schaefer and Bob Arum have now reached a verbal agreement on terms with meetings on tap tomorrow with Planet Hollywood and MGM/Mirage to determine whether the venue will be held at UNLV’s Thomas and Mack Center or the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The 140lb clash could be signed as soon as next week.
