Pacquiao-Mosley postfight

Text & photo by Chris Cozzone

Who’s next in line for Manny Pacquiao? Top Rank’s Bob Arum says an offer has been made to Juan Manual Marquez to meet Pacquiao in November in Vegas, but that Golden Boy Promotions has an option to match the offer. If Marquez does not happen, Arum names Timothy Bradley and Zab Judah as alternates.

Pacquiao expressed his disappointment at the post-fight press conference, stating that “I did my best, but Mosley felt my power and he just wanted to finish the 12 rounds. I was trying to fight toe-to-toe and was surprised that he just ran and ran and ran.”

Mosley called Pacquiao, “Very strong and unpredictable,” and complained about a foot injury. “I felt short, I guess,” said Mosley. “I saw some openings but thought they could’ve been traps.”

Stay tuned for a full report on Sunday. Pictured above: Paris Hilton was a guest at the presser.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
