The rematch between Jason Pagara (28-2, 17 KOs) of the Philippines and Rosbel Montoya (16-3-1, 13 KOs) of Mexico is set for August 18th in Cebu City, Philippines. Montoya shocked Pagara last September defeating Pagara by unanimous decision ending Pagara’s 17 fight win streak. Montoya opened many eyes at the initial press conference for that fight by claiming he had an actual record of 34-4-1, 29 KOs and not the 12-2-1, 11 KOs mark that was announced. No one knows what Montoya’s actual record is, but Pagara is said to be in tremendous shape and ready to reverse the outcome. The fight will once again be at the Cebu City Waterfront Hotel & Casino and is promoted by ALA Boxing promotions. While the first bout was a ten-rounder, the rematch is scheduled for 12 rounds with the WBO International jr. welterweight championship on the line along with a likely world ranking for the winner.
