Former WBA 105lb title holder Paipharob Kokietgym (20-0, 16 KOs) successfully captured the vacant WBC Asian Continental 112lb title as he won a unanimous decision over ABCO#8 Wang Xin Hua (repotedly 10-5-1) on Friday at the MBK center in Bangkok, Thailand. The Thai aggressor mostly controlled the show in the first half, landing many big shots which almost dropped Chinese fighter in round five. From round eight it seemed Paipharob looked weakened, so the contender started his assault and gained the score back but it was too late to turn the tide. Scored 117-111, 116-112, 116-113. Fightnews saw 116-112 for the new champion.
In other action, WBA#2/WBC#16 strawweight Pigmy Kokietgym (49-6-2, 22 KOs) dropped ABCO#10 Wang Xin Yu three times with his vicious body attack, scoring a TKO at 1:27 of round three and retaining his WBC Asia 105lb title for the first time. Three-time world title challenger Terdsak Kokietgym (47-4-1, 32 KOs) destroyed Chinese Lin Li Quan with a big bodyshot at 2:28 of round two. ABCO#7 lightfly Samartlek Kokietgym (reportedly 9-4) scored a 3th round TKO as Chinese Ma Wu Ling refused to continue at the early part of round three. And former WBA female title challenger Amara Kokietgym (10-3-1, 5 KOs) stopped Phailin Sithkongnapa at 0:55 of round two.
