Pajkic decisions Butler
By John Robbins, FightNews Canada
Canadian Heavyweight champion Neven “No Surrender” Pajkic (14-0, 5 KOs) won a 10 round unanimous decision over Chicago’s Raphael Butler (35-9, 28 KOs) last night at the Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto. Both fighters gave it everything they had, producing an action packed war from start to finish. When the final bell rang, Pajkic was declared the win by scores of 99-91 and 97-93 (twice).
On the undercard, Felix Mercedes (6-0, 3 KOs) proved too much for the more experienced Sergio Aparicio (13-4-1) of Argentina, stopping the import with a double left hook to the body in round 5. Rounding out the card had heavyweights Artem Lipanov (1-0-1, 1 KO) and Taffo Asongwed (0-4-2) battling to a 4 round stalemate.
